Don’t Procrastinate. Start Doing The Things You Want To Do NOW.
A follow up from yesterday’s rant. Don’t procrastinate and put things that you want to do to the side or into the category of “someday I will”.
Memento Mori - Remember that you will die
And as the Roman Emperor Marcus Aurelius said: “You could leave life right now. Let that determine what you do and say and think.” That was a personal reminder to continue living a life of virtue NOW, and not wait.
Death to me is my biggest motivation in life
The fact that I know I’m going to die one day. To not put things aside, always do the things I want to do—something I’ve made massive progress with in the past year and the start of this year.
Seneca, a Roman Stoic Philosopher, said:
"Death is a process—it is happening to us right now. We are dying every day."
Even as you read/listen to this post, time is passing that you will never get back. That time, he said, belongs to death.
Maybe this video will serve as a motivation for you or as a big wake-up call. Whatever it does, I hope you take some action TODAY on any of the things you want to do in life. And that could be the tiniest step forward in that direction. That’s still a whole lot better than doing nothing and just letting that thought circulate in your mind. Let’s fucking GO! ✌🏽
